Crikvenica-Dolinci is sheltered from strong winds by the slopes of the Kapela mountain range to the north and by the island of Krk to the south. This favourable position gives the local climate a combination of Mediterranean and continental features. Predominant, however, is the mild, stable Mediterranean climate.
